The commander of the Vampire Horde forces in the West Kingdom, Frett was a member of the Jehdan Nobility. Originally regarded as an eccentric of the Jehdan gentry, he was actually a skilled Necromancer whose obsession with the cult of Lilith lead him to master the arts. His obsession came at great cost though, as a failed experiment literally exploded in his face, destroying his left eye and blowing off his left arm. He later replaced the damaged areas of his body with with limbs and flesh from corpses which gave him a monstrous visage.
20 years earlier he had left for the Forbidden Zone in the South Kingdom with a flock of followers, and upon his return he seemed to be in command of a great power. He lead the armies of the Horde in order to gain control of the Great Jehdan Imperium and ultimately the Universe. Following visions he believed to be given by Lilith herself, he sought the power of the Bloodstone shards in order to grant himself godlike power. Among his first actions during the War were the raising of his childhood heroes, the Unforgiven as Vampires, naming them as the Cardinal Sins. Following instructions from Lilith, he also sought to reanimate their enemy Kruger as a vampire. As Kruger's tomb was guarded by an order of White Monks, he had hired the Deathwalk Cain to capture the city for him. Though not a Vampire himself, Frett’s Necromancy granted him control of the Undead.

- When he went to the Forbidden Zone he managed to successfully make contact with the Horde Nobles and pledge himself to their cause. The Nobles in turn were happy to use him, though they regarded him as an annoying nuisance and treated him with open contempt.
