The Intergalactic Subspace Data Network, or more simply, the Network is a system of interconnected computer networks synched to a specific protocol that links countless devices across the Known Universe. Broadcast across subspace, it links trillions of private, public, academic, business and government networks together. The Network itself evolved out of a desire for the post-Cataclysm societies to reconnect with each other and share information. Seeing it as a useful tool to bind together the All Union they were trying to build, the Watchers participated in the dissemination of the necessary technologies for the Network to come together.
